|2011 Guide for HIV/AIDS Clinical Care|

HRSA/HAB has just released the Guide for HIV/AIDS Clinical Care, an updated resource for clinicians to use in delivering HIV/AIDS care. The Guide covers 93 topics in 610 pages and provides guidance on a broad range of clinical care topics, including testing and assessment, health care maintenance and disease prevention, comorbidities, oral health, HIV treatment and more. The Guide complements Federal HIV/AIDS guidelines through presentation of information on best practices in clinical management of HIV/AIDS disease.
The Guide can be ordered from the HRSA Information Center at 888.ASK.HRSA or by ordering online.
The Web-based version will be posted on the HRSA/HAB website in the coming weeks.
|Ryan White Clinical Conference: June 27-29, 2011|
Registration is now open for the 14th Annual Clinical Conference for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, to be held June 27-29 at the Marriott Tampa Waterside in Tampa, Florida. The goal of the meeting is to provide a comprehensive and timely overview of HIV treatment issues and current strategies in HIV medical care for prescribers in Ryan White clinics and programs funded under Parts A through F. This state-of-the-art Continuing Medical Education (CME) program will include 2.5 days of lectures and interactive workshops. Attendees are encouraged to bring cases and questions for discussion.
The Clinical Conference is supported by and planned in collaboration with staff from HRSA/HAB and the Southeast AIDS Training and Education Center. This CME program is sponsored by the IAS-USA.

|Technical Assistance Webconference: New to Quality: Quality Improvement 101 & HAB Expectations|
On Thursday, May 12th from 3:00-4:00pm EST, the National Quality Center (NQC) will hold this free national Technical Assistance (TA) webconference. This call will be facilitated by Tracy Matthews, Chief Clinical Advisor at the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), Division of Community-Based Programs, and Kevin Garrett, Senior Manager of the National Quality Center.
The call will cover topic areas such as the key concepts of quality improvement, HAB expectations for quality management, and new HAB measures.

|14th Annual Summit on HIV and Adolescents: Teens and Young Adults in the Third Decade of HIV: the latest on HIV prevention, screening, care, treatment, and healthy transitions|
On Friday, May 13th from 8:00am - 4:30pm the New England AETC will host this summit at the Holiday Inn Tewksbury in Tewksbury, MA. The summit is for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and other medical and mental health clinicians and community health workers working with HIV positive teens and young adults, or hoping to incorporate effective HIV/STD prevention with teens and young adults into their health settings.
