Axios coordinates the PMTCT Donations Program, Abbott Laboratories and Boehringer Ingelheim's joint response to mother-to-child HIV transmission. Abbott Laboratories donates Determine HIV 1/2 tests to eligible countries for pregnant women, their spouses and children of those women who test HIV-positive. Boehringer Ingelheim donates nevirapine free of charge to eligible countries for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1.
