National and Regional Resources and Organizations

	African-American HIV/AIDS Program of the American Red Cross Trains instructors to share HIV information in the community. Program developed by African Americans for African Americans. Also develops posters and other prevention materials targeting African Americans.
	The Balm in Gilead Mobilizes African American churches to respond to AIDS.
	Black AIDS Institute A policy center dedicated to reducing HIV/AIDS health disparities by mobilizing community institutions and individuals in efforts to confront the epidemic in their communities.
	National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day A nationwide community mobilization effort to emphasize the HIV/AIDS
	National Black Nurses Association: HIV/AIDS Program (NBNA) U.S.-based professional educational and advocacy organization of African American nurses.

Community Organizations

	Black Brothers Esteem Program of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation for African American gay, bisexual, and same gender-loving men regardless of HIV-serostatus. Includes several publications.
	Whitman-Walker Clinic Whitman-Walker provides prevention and care services throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
