Source: Institute for Healthcare Improvement Notes: Provides an overview of the models used by health care
providers to improve HIV/AIDS care for their patients. This curriculum
was designed to be used in a train-the-trainer structure. The curriculum
was developed by the IHI through funding from the Health Resources and
Services Administration Bureau of HIV/AIDS (HAB). The curriculum is used
by HAB grantees in their quality improvement work. Site registration
required. Includes 166 slides with speaker notes.

Source: New York/New Jersey AETC The Group Learning Guide includes interactive quality
improvement exercises for HIV health care providers. The guide offers 20
HIV-specific group exercises for quality improvement in HIV programs and
range from case studies, quizzes, role-play to evaluations of scenarios.
Each exercise includes facilitator notes, handouts for participants,
answer keys, and power point slides. This guide provides a clear road
map and useful tools for making quality improvement a reality in HIV
programs.

 | Patient Satisfaction Survey for Ambulatory Care [PDF multipart]
Source: New York/New Jersey AETC The Patient Satisfaction Survey consists of a core survey,
which is applicable to all HIV-positive patients with HIV primary care
visits, and five modules (case management, outpatient substance use
services, mental health services, women's health services, and Medicaid
managed care). Both, the core survey and all five modules are available
in English and Spanish. Additionally, the document include a provider
guide that will assist HIV programs to administer the survey by
providing some guidance on sampling, administering the survey, and
analyzing the results.

review of quality performance of counseling sessions. After getting the
consent of the client, an independent counselor who is not part of the
team, sits in sessions when the counselor is conducting a counseling
session. He/she completes the quality assurance tool and provides
immediate feedback to the counselor followed by a written report on
areas of strengths and areas that require improvement.
