dotUse the same Build effect through each presentation. Audience members should want to predict the content, not which animation you will use next.
space
dotUse the pre-defined Slide Layouts to make Applying Templates easier.
space
dotApplying a Custom Template may require you to browse for the file from the bottom of the Design Template screen.
space
dotWhen Designing Templates, set image into background, rather than inserting on slide to avoid printing problems.
space
dotUse 72 dpi for images to be viewed on screen. 150 dpi for images that will be printed. By providing your audience with a copy of your PowerPoint slide set, you can reduce all graphics to 72 dpi.
space
dotUse RoboDemo/Captivate to create complete how-to manuals in PowerPoint.
space
dotAvoid using gradients or transparency for images to be inserted into PowerPoint as they greatly increase file size and don’t always appear as desired.
space
dotSave photos as .jpg files and simpler graphics as .gif files to keep file sizes down as much as possible.
space
dotStore Flash files in the same folder as the main .ppt file when making the slide set. After embedding the Flash files, you can move them to a different storage location.
space
dotSave your slide set with embedded Flash files as a .pps file and designate it as Read Only to ensure the Flash files play every time the slides are viewed.
