Webinars
"Webinars" are presentations where the video and/or audio components are delivered via the web. An example is a training exchange where people call into a conference call and go to a common web page to view a PowerPoint presentation, which is controlled by the host. There dozens if not hundreds of companies that offer this type of service.
We haven't addressed higher-end (and costly) technologies such as video conferencing, video webcasts, or satellite broadcasts in this review.
Features to look for in a Webinar service:
 | Cost: varies widely and with many companies you need to request a quote. Most offer a discount for an annual subscription. Check to see if long distance fees are included. |

 | System for handling attendee questions (built-in instant messaging, for example) |

 | System for recording the session: many have automatic recording and archiving |

 | Other features: common whiteboard, instant audience polls or surveys, integration with Microsoft Office |
