Comment
This is a concise and very practical review of several metabolic abnormalities associated with HIV infection and antiretroviral therapy. It addresses body-fat abnormalities, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, and cardiovascular disease, and it includes discussions on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, assessment, and treatment of these disorders.
