Border HIV Hero / Héro VIH de la Frontera: José Luís Burgos, MD Tijuana, Baja California NorteJosé Luís Burgos is a physician practicing in Tijuana, Mexico. He has been very active in epidemiological research and training on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Dr Burgos also works with programs that provide counseling and testing for commercial sex workers, truck drivers and agricultural workers in the rural areas of Baja California. He is currently collaborating with colleagues on both sides of the border to study the intersection of HIV, substance abuse and human behavior. Links | |
