Mary Caffery, RN

Mary Caffery is a registered nurse practicing in San Diego, California. For the past 17 years she has provided care to women, children, youth, and families along the border region of San Diego and Imperial counties. She has worked to increase awareness of HIV infection among women, promoted HIV testing during pregnancy and provided care to HIV positive pregnant women and their children. She is the program coordinator of the University of California San Diego Mother, Child and Adolescent HIV Program. Mary has worked with a great team of clinicians to facilitate the development and implementation of a binational pediatric clinic and perinatal HIV screening program at Tijuana General Hospital in Baja, California. On a personal level, Mary enjoys traveling with her husband and three children, long walks on the beaches in San Diego, and finding new restaurants and recipes to share with friends.
