Virginia Sanchez is a registered nurse practicing in San Diego who has been working in the field of HIV along the U.S.-Mexico border since 1989. She currently serves as Nurse Case Manager and Program Supervisor for the San Ysidro Health Center's early intervention program. She began her career in Tijuana and worked for many years teaching HIV prevention classes in the Tijuana School District. She maintains close ties with her colleagues in Mexico and is very active with several HIV organizations in Tijuana.
