dotNew Survey Finds American Attention to HIV/AIDS Wanes: Kaiser Family Foundation

Note: The Kaiser Family Foundation has released the 2009 Survey of Americans on HIV/AIDS. The new survey of the American public is the seventh major survey conducted by the Foundation on the issue since 1995. The survey indicates that the public's attention to and sense of urgency about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the U.S. has fallen considerably, with the share naming HIV/AIDS as the Nation's most urgent health problem down significantly since 1995. The number of people that said they have heard a lot about HIV/AIDS in the U.S. is now less than half of what it was 5 years ago.
