Note: This course will assist nurses in preparation for the ACRN exam by reviewing content in the major test categories:epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, physical exam, disease process, mental health and medication therapy and will provide a review of the nursing processes involved in providing comprehensive care to the HIV infected patient. Participants will be given specific test taking strategies for the ACRN Exam and participate in a practice test with full review of test answers and rationale.

Note: The mission of the Women & HIV International Clinical Conference is to advance the clinical capacity to care for HIV-infected women and their families. Clinical scientists, social scientists and policy makers will use this forum to collaborate on gender-specific differences in the biology, epidemiology, prevention and treatment of HIV infection, as well as co-morbidities. The conference will also cover the advocacy of evidence-based AIDS related public policy that will translate laboratory and clinical research into practice and public policies to improve clinical outcomes of women affected or infected with HIV.
