This training exchange will share findings from a project conducted by the AETC National Evaluation Center examining the barriers and facilitators to implementing new knowledge or skills gained during AETC training events. Because ongoing provider education is critical to keeping current with treatment standards, as well as to developing the skills necessary to deliver high-quality care, we want to better understand the techniques trainers use to ensure that learners can effectively return to work and apply what they learn. This training exchange will familiarize the audience with the types ofchallenges that are particular to the AETC training events, and will discuss some emerging practices and strategies associated with creating optimal learning conditions.
