The
Pocket Guide To HIV/AIDS Treatment
The
"Pocket Guide to HIV/AIDS Treatment" is a collection of
tables created from the various DHHS guidelines (Adult ART, Pregnancy,
OIs). The Pocket Guide, color-coded for easy access and reproduced
on durable cards joined with a ring clip, was produced by the AIDS
Education and Training Centers (AETC) National Resource Center with
funding from the Health Resources and Services Administrations
HIV/AIDS Bureau. The Pocket Guide is designed to assist clinicians
in caring for patients with HIV/AIDS, but does not substitute for
appropriate training. Contact the AETC near
you to learn how to register for such training.
Pocket
Guide Update! (July 3, 2001)
Following the release of the PHS Adult Antiretroviral Guidelines
on February 5, 2001, a second version was undertaken reflecting
the more conservative recommendations for initiation of ART and
is now in print.
The
Pocket Guide is being distributed through the AETCs and their Local
Performance Sites (LPS) free of charge to providers attending AETC
clinical training. A relatively limited supply of the Pocket Guide
is also being distributed through the HRSA Information Center (1-888-ASK-HRSA)
for those not currently or previously enrolled in AETC training.
Orders will be limited to 10 per caller.
The
Pocket Guide is also available in PDF format. Please note that when
you print the Pocket Guide you may print them at their design size
of 6.75 X 4.75 or select "Fit to Page" in the print dialog box to
print a larger, easier to read version. Click
