Synopsis/Description: This booklet defines issues related to returning to work using fictional case-studies of people living with HIV, employers, insurers and policy-makers. The booklet informs readers about disability requirements, medical benefits, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid coverage.

Synopsis of NRC Consumer Reviews: Reviewers agreed that the reading level and length of this booklet may be difficult for many people. But, reviewers also commented that the "incredible" information in this booklet is "well worth the time spent reading it." According to one reviewer "most people will not read the whole thing, but they will be able to relate to the stories and get a lot out of the information." Another reviewer commented that, "This is an excellent approach to emerging critical issues." The reviewers suggested that this piece is appropriate for distribution and use by case managers, educators and counselors. Reviewers agreed that this is a very helpful reference for adults living with HIV who are returning to work. One reviewer found it so helpful that he commented, " (I) wish it came out five years ago when (I) was dealing with this exact problem."
