Brief Synopsis of NRC Consumer Reviews: The reviewers, who were all incarcerated women living with HIV, said this guide is a great resource for information because it includes excellent examples of "what you need to know and what steps you need to take to stay healthy on the inside." Reviewers suggested distributing this guide to all new inmates during orientation, to support group leaders, to clinics in the prison health system and in inpatient drug treatment centers. Reviewers commented that the guide is long, but agreed, based on their experience in prison, that incarcerated persons have the time to read a lengthy piece.
