President Bush Supports Use of Generic Versions of Expensive Drugs by Developing Countries: Bush declines to support drug companies' line on AIDS profits [Dickson D. Nature 2001;410:3]: This report states that President Bush "has surprised international AIDS organizations and AIDS activists by indicating that he will take a liberal attitude toward developing countries" and their efforts to purchase generic forms of antiretroviral drugs.
