Global AIDS and Tuberculosis Relief Act Passed [Baltimore
Sun, August 20, 2000, pg. 14A]:President Clinton signed this act
into law on August 19, 2000. The act will provide $400 million for
dealing with infectious diseases throughout the world. The bill
offers $300 million for AIDS programs, $60 million for tuberculosis
and $60 million for vaccine and immunization work. The bill received
