Conferences/Trainings

dotTraining-of-Trainer (TOT) Program

Note: The National Quality Center (NQC) is hosting this upcoming program taking place June 13-15, 2011 in Boston, MA. The TOT program is designed to build capacity among Ryan White grantees to conduct quality improvement (QI) trainings and enlarge the pool of QI trainers nationwide. It provides information on basic concepts in quality management, adult learning theories, and how to structure and facilitate quality training opportunities.

Registration is now open at www.NationalQualityCenter.org/tot. NQC does not charge for this training so no registration fee is required.

dotMotivational Interviewing: An Introduction to an Evidence-Based Program and Implementation Process

Note: On Thursday, April 21st from 2:00-3:00pm EST, the Northeast ATTC will host this webinar. The webinar will provide attendees with a brief introduction to motivational interviewing, and its core concepts and treatment approach. In addition, strategies to insure the successful implementation of this evidence-based chemical dependency treatment model will be discussed. A question and answer period will accompany this presentation to allow participants an opportunity to gain further clarification regarding the model and a program implementation process.

dot6th Annual Minority AIDS Initiative Multicultural HIV/AIDS Provider Summit

Note: On Friday, May 6th from 7:45am - 4:30pm the New England AETC will host this summit in Taunton, MA at the Taunton Inn and Conference Center. This summit will include plenary session discussions on multicultural approaches to care, health disparities, National AIDS Strategy implementation, and HIV testing and initiatives in Massachusetts communities of color.
